5th ISBMUN Conference
Day 1 : One God Rule vs Three God Rule
Cronus/Saturn had three sons who overthrew his rule with magical weapons and took control of the world for themselves: Zeus/Jupiter, the god of storms and ruler of Heaven, Poseidon/Neptune, the king of the Sea, and Hades/Pluto, who was tricked into becoming lord of the Underworld. Arguments have struck between the three bickering gods in their quest for fulfilling their desires.
Poseidon, known for his greedy nature, would strongly go for a one god rule and being the supreme king of Olympus. The council shall debate on the drawbacks and advantages of a one god rule and should side with the god they support the most out of the three and should come up with ways to support their claim. Zeus and Hades must come up with ways to defend the three god rule in Olympus
Day 2 : The Second Titan War
The Titanomachy was the great war that occured between the Titans, the old generation of the Greek Gods and the Olympians, led by Zeus. The war lasted 10 years with the Olympians emerging as victors. There were 12 original Titans: the brothers Oceanus, Coeus, Crius, Hyperion, Iapetus, and Cronus and the sisters Thea, Rhea, Themis, Mnemosyne, Phoebe, and Tethys (Cronus and Rhea being the big three's parents). This event is also known as the War of the Titans, Battle of the Titans, Battle of the Gods, or just the Titan War. The war was fought to decide which generation of gods would have dominion over the universe; it ended in victory for the Olympian gods. The Titans were then hurled down by Zeus and imprisoned in a cavity beneath Tartarus. After many peaceful years in Olympus, the Titans have finally escaped from Tartarus with the help of Iris, the messenger of gods during the first Titan war, and the remaining titans who weren’t imprisoned.
The council shall debate on the following: The major drawbacks of the Titan War and the damages that came along with it. The council shall come up with solutions for winning the second Titan War and should come up with ways to ensure that the Titans or any of their other enemies should not step foot or wage war again on the Olympian soil.
